CHURCH POLICIES AND GUIDELINES FOR MINISTRIES

Policy used in ecclesiastical usage serves a valuable purpose in distinguishing that which relates to administration and government from that which relates to faith and doctrine.  Two congregations identical in faith and doctrine may differ in policy or vice versa.

AUTONOMY - A community that governs itself - independence

CHRIST is the head of the church (Eph. 1:22-23).
THE BIBLE is our guide in all things.
THE PASTOR is God's overseer (Acts 20:28).

The purpose of ministries must be clearly determined.  Much prayer should be made before selecting persons to lead ministries.  Qualities that should be found in leaders are:

1 .   Spirituality
2.    Commitment
3.    Ability to work with others
4.    A willingness to follow leadership.

Meetings of the church ministries should:

1 .   Begin and end with devotions
2.    Begin on time
3.    Have a definite purpose and stick to it
4.    Conduct meetings with decency and order.

All ministry programs should be in accordance with the program of the church.

Nothing should be planned without first being cleared with the Pastor and without his consent.
