The Deacon's Ministry at Friendship is to

• Be a watchful guardian of the spiritual purity and good order of the Church.
• Oversee the tables of the church (table of the poor, the church and the pastor).
• Have charge of seeing after the sick and needy members.
• Be armor bearers for the pastor and help him with his temporal and administrative responsibilities.
• Act as counselor and assistant to the pastor in advancing the general interest of the body.
• Be steadfast in our spiritual walk.
• Lead the congregation by precept and example.
• In the absence of the Pastor or Pastor's delegate, take responsibility to conduct the meetings of the church.
